We all know those kinds of days when it all it needs is a crusty, oven-fresh vegan pizza, and that pizza we’re talking has to be topped with some juicy, fresh greens. And sometimes, they have to be nothing else than some harsh, spicy arugula. So what if we told you that your cravings will be satisfied — with this super easy, cheap, oil-free and healthy recipe?
INGREDIENTS (for 1 person):
FOR THE DOUGH
1 3/4 cups (200g)
(WHEAT, SPELT OR ALL-PURPOSE)
1 cup (200ml)
FOR THE TOMATO SAUCE
GARLIC CLOVE, CRUSHED
OR A MIX OF ROSEMARY, THIME, OREGANO, PARSLEY, ETC.
FEEL FREE TO REPLACE ANY TOPPED INGREDIENTS WITH FOODS OF YOUR CHOICE — WE USED:
GARLIC CLOVES, MARINADED WITH PARSLEY
+ Our tortilla dough is the perfect base for a good ol’ homemade arugula pizza. If you don’t know how to throw this one together already, read up our quick instructions here.
+ Once your ingredients for your dough are mixed, roll it out into a flat round cake and slightly fold the edge inwards to create a rim.
+ Whip up your tomato sauce using the listed ingredients and spread it generously on your pizza cake.
+ Top with whatever ingredients your heart desires — tastes differ!
+ Bake in a preheated oven for about 30 minutes (390°F/200°C).
+ Once your pizza is out of the oven, top it with a handful of fresh, washed arugula.
